It's mid-November, and many of us are gearing up for our holiday celebrations--thinking about travel plans, family gatherings, special events, gift giving, and food preparation.

All this activity can lead to overwhelm and exhaustion for many of us--the exact opposite of the joy and magic we hope for in this season.

It is possible to find more joy in your holidays, but it may take some planning, and you will likely have to be very deliberate in your choices. Focusing on what you truly love about the holidays and simplifying your expectations can help you slow down and enjoy the activities you choose to take part in.

Similarly, you can shift from spending money on gifts to finding ways to spend time, and share experiences, with those you care about most. The fun (and memories) of a good time together will last much longer than a toy, candle, or any other object you wrap up and give away.

Our most recent podcast episode is all about how to focus on joy this holiday season, rather than your to-do list. Give it a listen and let us know what kind of changes you'll be making this year.
